On April 16, the first seamless welding of long steel rails for the Lhasa-Nyingchi section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway was successfully completed. The picture shows the welding site.
On February 18, staff from the Surveying and Mapping Institute of China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co., Ltd. conducted surveys for the Sichuan-Tibet Railway at Zheduo Mountain in Kangding, Sichuan.
On April 23, the first trainload of long steel rails since the resumption of work this year arrived at the Xierong Laying and Erecting Base for the Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway.
On May 9, concrete temperature measurement was being conducted at the beam production site of the Lang County Beam Production Yard of the Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway by China Railway 11th Bureau.
Recently, all 47 tunnels on the Lhasa-Nyingchi section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway have been completed, laying a solid foundation for the opening and operation of this section. The builders of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway have overcome difficulties and continued to tackle challenges, making steady progress on the project. Another "heavenly road" on the plateau is gradually turning from a plan into a reality.
